Privacy policy

Short version: the tool works entirely on your device, and there is no account, analytics or advertising to send data to. The longer version, so you can verify it.

What we collect

Nothing you type, click or do with the tool. Wake-lock state, timers and countdowns live only in your browser tab's memory and disappear when you close it.

What your own browser stores

One convenience uses your browser's local storage: remembering your chosen duration so it's preselected next visit. Concretely, two keys — nss-duration (e.g. “30”) and nss-custom-minutes. These are stored by your browser, on your device; they are never transmitted to us. Deleting them is as simple as clearing site data in your browser settings, and the tool works identically with storage disabled.

Cookies, analytics and tracking

  • No cookies are set by this site.
  • No analytics, pixel, fingerprinting or session-replay tooling is loaded.
  • No data is sold or shared — there is no collected data to sell or share.

If lightweight, privacy-respecting analytics are ever added to understand aggregate traffic (for example, which guide is most useful), this page will be updated before they ship, and the tool will keep working fully with any such script blocked.

Server logs from hosting

Like every website, the hosting provider may keep standard, short-lived server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and reliability. These are generated by infrastructure, not by application code, and are not used for profiling.

Third-party services

The only links that take you away from this site point to official documentation (W3C, MDN). Those destinations have their own privacy policies. Nothing you do on NoScreenSleep is sent to them.

Changes and questions

Any change to what this site collects will be written here first. Questions: hello@noscreensleep.com.
